I discovered a wonderful group of photographs of some murals in Philadelphia. Time magazine http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1649278_1421152,00.html has excellent examples. Sadly I am unable to link a photo from them. Early in my career (Pre-Teaching time) I participated in the creation of some murals. To be honest I don't believe they still exist. But I always keep a look out for murals. I would like to visit Philadelphia just to see these murals. As in my city, these murals reflect the minority neighborhoods. Sadly many people assume it is just another form of graffiti.
